In Tanzania leven veel mensen onder de armoedegrens en is werk schaars. Maar waar kansen ontbreken, staan doorzetters op. Zo ook mensen die met het bakkersvak aan de slag willen. Daarvoor wordt een bakkerij met opleidingslokaal gebouwd door het Mama Kevina Hope Centre. Dit is een opvangcentrum voor kinderen en jongvolwassenen met een fysieke of mentale beperking. De opleidingsbakkerij wordt gerund door een groep zusters met de naam Little Sisters of St. Francis. Met dit initiatief bieden we aanpakkers niet alleen werk, maar ook een toekomst voor hun gezin en hun community. Zo komt er letterlijk en figuurlijk brood op de plank voor veel mensen.<\/p>\n

In deze opleidingsbakkerij leren deelnemers de fijne kneepjes van het bakkersvak en andere skills en vaardigheden. Ze worden echte vakmensen met een ambacht dat overal ter wereld van waarde is. We stimuleren zelfstandigheid en ondernemerschap, zodat zij op
termijn hun eigen bakkerij kunnen starten. Zo dragen we niet alleen bij aan persoonlijke groei van mensen, maar ook aan de lokale economie \u00e9n lokale voedselvoorziening.<\/p>\n
